Commander H. L. Morgan, formerly in command of H.M.S. Veronica pa-tha New Zealand station, has been appointed assistant to the captain, of the naval dock yard at Pembroke, England. .

Mr. Bernard Gotlieb, who has beea Consul for the United States at Wellington'for the past five years, has received notice of his transfer to. the charge of-the Consulate, a £ Messina, Sicily. Before coming to Wellington, as American Consul, Mr. Gotlieb-was at Singapore. Prior to that he was stationed' at Halifax, Nova Seotiaj Teheran, North Persia, Cairo* Egypt, and Constantinople. Mr. and Mrs. Gotlieb and their family expect to leave New Zealand for the- United States in May.
