TIHAEU, This Day. The cricket match between Waitaki and Timaru High Schools concluded this morning, Timaru winning by five wickets (Souter, not out, 73, and Ritchie 27).
NAVY V. DIAMOND CABS
In a cricket match, Navy v. Diamond Cabfl, played at Anderson's Park yesterday, the latter team won -by 42 runs. "Diamonds" scored 128 runs'and the Navy 86. Top scorers for the Navy were Carr 29, Clark 29, and Carson 22, and for "Diamonds" Marshall 42 not out and Kaerander 24. Bowling for the Navy, Phillips took four wickets for 41 and Johnston, four for 16. For Diamonds, Darrooh. took four for 17, Loughliu four for 33, and Herd two for 28.
