GISBOENE, This Day. Heavy rain has fallen along the east ern seaboard at Gisborne, and llu points-were , registered in five hours last night. Matawai reports a fall-of 3/44 inches1 in the last twenty-four hours. •■■;. ■• ■ :
Service cars for Auckland arc blocked on the W.aioeka and Motu Valley routes owing to flooding of streams. The main road at Motu is waist-deep near the post office, and telegraph communication north and south is tomporariJy interrupted.
