CANBERRA, March 21,

Mr. J. G. Latham, Attorney-General, in the House of late tonight announced that tlic Goveru, ment had decided to defer action in regard to the proposed restriction of the export of Australian butter to the United Kingdom. This decision would enable the Australian Dairy Export Control Board to confer with representatives of the New Zealand Dairy Board, who were to arrive shortly.

If, as a result, the dairying interests recommended that no restriction be' imposed, the Government would have no hesitation in adopting the recommendation.
