SYDNEY, March 20.
At the Sydney wool sales today 10,194 bales were offered, 9436 being sold at auction and 1284 disposed of privately. Brisk competition among Continental, Yorkshire, and Japanese buyers kept the market very firm. Good clearances were effected. Greasy merino made 15% d.
The average price of the wool.sold last week was £11 6s lOd per bale, or 9.11 d per pound.
