ANNIVERSARY OF OPENING
TWELVE MONTHS' TOLLS
SYDNEY, March 19.
Today was the first anniversary of the opening of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Twelve months' tolls from vehicle, train, and tram traffic amount to £426,000. Interest, maintenance, and toll collection costs are approximately £415,000.
It is expected that the deficit on the first year will be £83,000.
