AUSTRALIAN APPOINTMENTS .
Mr. L. K. Thomas has been appointed controller of educational activities and of the administrative duties of the Australian Broadcasting Commission, and Mr. li. A. Holman has boon appointed, secrataiy of the commission. Mr. Thomas, who has been' Eegistrar of the University of Tasmania for a number of, years, is a barrister of the Middle Temple, and on the outbreak of tho war he left England with the 11th Imperial Division of the Army Service OI'PV ,and saw active service at Gallipoli, Subsequently he became assistant director .of supplies in Mesopotamia, and. retired with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. He, camo to Tasmanja soon after the .war, and in' addition to. his .university appointment, took a prominent T)art in musical and broadcasting circles' in that State. Mr. Holman, who has been-, appointed secretary, has been associated with tho broadcasting station 3LG for several years, and h^s been acting secretary of the commission for some months..
