SHANGHAI, March 14. j It is reported that secret negotiations | are going oa between General Chiang Kai-Shek and the Japanese authorities in North China for the purpose of reaching an agreement regarding the border between China and Manchukuo, and avoiding further hostilities.
The -Japanese announce that China must make a prompt decision, as they are losing patience over their heavy losses as a result' of tho daily fighting in the Jehol passes, where the Chinese are being steadily reinforced by Government troops, and others are massing preparatory to launching tho offensive which General Chiang promised the nation.
