THE SEASON'S WINNERS
The monthly meeting of the Wellington Bowling Centre was held last night. Mr. W. Perry presided. The winners of the centre competitions lor the season were- announced as follows: —Champion Singles; T. Adams, Karori Club; Champion Pairs, G. W. Bradley and F. C Hazlewood, Lyall Bay ClubChampion. Kiuks, A. Raven, R. ilcKenzie'L. M. Naylor, and J. M. Brackenridge Lyall Bay Club; Senior Pennant, Lyall Bay Club; Veterans' Day, H. Brice, J. H. Jlentiplay, J. Webb, and J. Gallic, Wellington Club; lianawatu Centre visit Wellington won by 20 points; Junior Pennant section! winners, A, Hutt Club- B Petone Club. . . ' '
It was decided that the final of the Junior Pennant should be played on the Central green on Saturday, an extra head t0 be played in the event of a tie. ■ I The prizes for the season are to be pre-! Eented on the Karori green on April 8. I Ihe Shallcrass Memorial Trophy, which i 18 to, £ c comPeted for annually on Veterans Day, was on view. The trophy consists of a silver figure of a bowler about to deliver a bowl and it is mounted on a wanut plmth. The inscription reads:-■bnallei-ass Trophy. Presented to the Wellington Bowling Centre by the veterans {.or annual competition between veteran bowlers, as a token of esteem, and in memory-of R. W.
