Reporting to yesterday's meeting o£ the Wairarapa -Electric Power Board at Carterton, the secretary-manager (Mr. George Brown).stated that compared with, the corresponding month- of .last year the revenue return for . February, was satisfactory, and further strengthened the board's financial position for the year. The revenue from domestic load' and" power; continued to show a satisfactory increase. The total decrease in net revenue for the first eleven months of the year (excluding bulk supply) was £3126 los 2d, and the estimates for the twelve months provided for £G6ll 17s. The actual results showed a decided gain on the estimates. The position in connection with installation work remains about the same. The position for the first eleven months of the year is: New jobs 132, additions 582, total 714. For the corresponding period last year the figures were: New jobs 147, and additions 595, total 742. The permits issued in February included two cookers, two water heaters, and three motors. The new load actually connected to the main in February included 67 light points, 30 heat points, one cooker, one. water heater, and three motors. Consumers now total 4501. The amount outstanding on consumers' accounts at February 28, 1032, was £2455 0s 9d, and at February 28, 1933, £2729 los 6d. The engineer (Mr. W. B. Keenan) reported that during February seven service connections were erected in the northern area, two in the central area, and one in the southern area. Last month was one of the worst in the board's history for electrical storms; and" the repairs were estimated to cost £144.
