(Received March 10, 11 a.m.) LONDON, March 9. ' The secretary of the Rugby Football Union (Commander S. F. Coopper) denies that the Union has agreed to New Zealand's request for the substitution of injured players.

It was reported that at a recent meeting of the Taranaki Rugby Union's Management Committee, Mr. J. McLeod (chairman) stated that the English Rugby Union had endorsed the New Zealand Union's application to replace injured players, and had passed the application on to the International Board for approval.
