MEDICAL REGISTRATION FEE

(To the Editor.) Sir,—According to a report of today's proceedings of .the Legislative Council, it appears that Mr. Masters affirmed that a suggested 5s annual registration fee for medical practitioners had been considered undignified by tlie medical profession, and that the profession had suggested that a fee of £1 Is would be preferable. I wish to state emphatically that this statement of Mr. Masters is entirely without foundation, and that the representatives of the medical profession have neither been consulted nor have they expressed any opinion on the question.—l am, etc., G. E. V. ANSQN, ■ _Hon. General Secretary, ,N.Z. Branch, British Medical „_.'-' Association. March 9, 1033.
