The Rugby branch of the Marist Bros. Old Boys' Association and Catholic Club states in its annual report that although no high honours were annexed the club has generally maintained a high standard of play._ In the early part of the season the senior team did not meet with the measure of success anticipated, but at a later stage played particularly well. Reference is made to the performances of the other teams, and appreciation is expressed o£ the work of the coaches. Eulogistic reference is also made to others who assisted the club in various directions, and congratulations are extended to the players who gained representative honours. Dealing with the financial side of the club's affairs, tribute is paid to Mr. G. Davies in keeping a strict supervision oh the finances, but regret is expressed that assistance in the matter of payment of dues was not up to requirements. The transfers of H. It is stated that the Easter tournament for the Spillane Cup is to take place this year at Wanganui, and the club has arrangements well in hand in the matter of being represented.
