BRITISH AMBASSADOR
CONGRESSMAN'S ATTACK
WASHINGTON, February 25. Representative McFadden, Republican, from Pennsylvania, attempted unsuccessfully today to " havo the House of Representatives adopt a resolution censuring the British Ambassador (Sir, Ronald Lindsay) for his "lobbying activities" in the discussion of war debts. He 'quoted Press dispatches as having said on February 15 that Sir Eonald had discussed war debts with members of the House, "thus," the resolution said, "reflecting on tho dignity and integrity, of tho House." . The Speaker (Mr. J. Garner) held that the evidence presented in the .resolution did not show that the honour of the House had been impugned, and'consequently, tho resolution could not be considered.
