A packed house from. which large numbers ■were turned away on, Saturday evening expressed warm approval of Gainsborough's "The Ghost Train," which is now in the second and last week of its successful Wellington season. Jack Hulbert and Cicely Courtneldge take the leading parts and maintain a continual flow of humour which balances excellently the eerie sections of the railway station scene, and the strong dramatic effect of the supreme sensation where the mystery train plunges from the broken bridge into the waters of the estuary The film is a triumph of British technique.
