PRICES RATHER BETTER
Messrs. A. H. Tuvnbull and Co., ftd., have received cabled advice, dated February 24, from their principals, Messrs. W. Weddel and Co., Ltd., London, as follows:—"Danish butter, 104s; New Zealand finest, 73s to 765; Kangaroo, 71s to 74b; market firm. New Zealand white cheese, 43s to 445; New Zealand coloured, 46s to 48s; market steadier. The butter market is active now at 78s t0795." Messrs. Samuel Page and Son report froni London under date February 24:— "Since our report of yesterday butter is 3s per cwt higher; cheese (coloured) is 2s per cwt higher." The New Zealand Producers' Co-opera-tive Marketing Association's weekly cabled market report from London, dated February 24, is as follows:— "Butter: Market firm with more inquiry; New Zealand finest, 76s to 775; first grade, 74s to 755; Danish, 104s to 105s. • Cheese: Market steady with improved demand. New Zealand white, 43s to 445; coloured, 47s to 495." Messrs. A. S. Paterson and Go., Ltd., advice from Messrs. J. and J. Lonsdale and Co. (London), Ltd., as follows:— "Butter: Market firmer; New Zealand, 76s;^ Australian, 745. ; Cheese: Market firm; white, 43s to 445; coloured, 47s to 485."
