A murder mystery: story with a> comedy twist to it, "Guilty .'As • Charged"■■ commenced at the St. James Theatre . today, with Edmund Lowe, Victor McLaglen, and Richard Arlen in the star roles. The picture opens with the murder of a woman. The audience sees the crime and the .man who commits it. But Lowe and McLaglen, called In on the case, do: not. The many bungles they make before finally straightening matters up produce numerous comedy situations. Meanwhile, they nearly send Blcbard Arlen, a friend of the woman who has been slain, to the gallows. Adrienne Ames has-the leading-femin-ine role in the production. The supports include a Paramount News', Pictorial, and a songES2 ed?; - Producing "Trees," "Killarney," and "The Daughter of Peggy O'Neill."
