Ihe report to be'presented at the annual meeting of the Shandon Club shows the following membership:—Ladies: Weekend Club, 54; Mid-week Club, 115; nonplaymg, S; absent, 4; summer, 5. Men: Ordinary, 123; life, 2; honorary, 1; midweek, 13; non-playing,: 21; absent, 9; summer, 10.. The total is 365, against 358 the .previous season. : Probably the most outstanding, feature of the year, the report says, hasbeen the very marked improvement' in tbe condition of the course. The club gratefully acknowledges the material assistance rendered to it in this respect by its landlord/the Hutt River Board. The statement of accounts! reveals a satisfactory position in view pf the present generally difficult times.
