JAPANESE DUMPING
INDIAN MILL CLOSES
CALCUTTA, February 7. Declaring that it is impossible to compete against Japanese dumping tactics, Messrs.' B. D. Sassoon and Company, Bombay textile mill-owners, have issued notices of dismissals to their employees in nine mills and a dyeworks. They will close down. The firm is one of the biggest in Bombay, and employs' 40,000 operatives.
