A QUIET HOLIDAY
HEIRESS TO MILLIONS
(By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Eveniny Post.") AUCKLAND, February 11. ' Reputed to be the wealthiest single girl in the United States, if not in the world, Miss Barbara Hutton, heiress to tho Woolworth millions, arrived at Auckland by tie Lurline on her way to spend a holiday in Australia. Miss Hutton is a pretty young woman of 19, and confesses that - one great drawback to a fortune of £10,000,000 is the amount of personal publicity in which it involves her. "I am going to Australia simply to get out of the way of people, for a time," Miss Hutton said. "B I'went to England or Europe I should only meet people there, and I want to be left alone for a while." Miss Hutton was informed that news concerning the reported breaking off of her engagement to Count Emanuel Borromeo had been published .in New Zealand, together with her denial that even an informal bethrothal existed. She expressed indignation, and said such reports were silly and embarrassing. She had not yet given serious thought to the possibility of marriage.
