HEARTFELT TRIBUTES
VALUED SOCIAL WORKERS
Sorrow at the death of Mrs. Susan Nicholls, wife of Mr. 11. E. Nicholls, Khandallah, was expressed at tho meeting yesterday morning of St. Mary's Guild. Mrs. Nicholls was a most ardent worker for tho girls' home, at Karori, a constant visitor there, who was always welcomed by the staff and girls. She was ono of the vice-presi-dents of the guild and a regular attendant at all the meetings; most generous in her personal gifts to tho homes, and active in getting regular annual subscribers. Deep sympathy was expressed for Mr. H. E. Nicholls, Miss Nicholls, and each member of the family. Deep sorrow -was also felt by all the members of St. Mary's Guild at the sudden passing of Mrs. Kirkcaldie, a dear and valued worker and friend. She had endeared hersolf to every member of the guild and of the homes by her gentle nature and her great enthusiasm, which was so helpful. All will miss her very much. Deep sympathy iwas expressed for Mr. Syducy KirkI caldig and $05 Mrs, Nash, her daughter.
