The New Zealand Meat Producers' Board is advised by cable from its London office that the shipments from Australia and South America to the United .Kingdom during January were as follows: — . Australia: 191,623 carcasses mutton, 400,304 carcasses lamb, 29,025 quarters beef. South America: .25,648 carcasses mutton, 401,064 carcasses lamb, 4072 quarters beef (frozen), 377,881 quarters beef (chilled). The shipments from New Zealand to the United Kingdom for the same period were as.follows: 38,090:caracasses mutton, 760,947 carcasses lamb, 8014 quarters beef. There were no shipments of mutton and frozen beef- from South America to the Continent or Europe during January.
