DECREASE IN EARNINGS

CALCUTTA, February 14. The depressed state of-Indian trade last year, aggravated by the difficulties : of the political situation, was reflected , in the gross Indian railway: earnings,.: which decreased by over £6,538,000,: compared with the previous year. Thstotal earnings of all Indian railwaya amounted to £74,776,923, of which 69,' per cent, was from goods traffic. Ther«;' were 154 cases of train wreckings.
