DAMAGED SOUTHERN CROSS

A new propeller and ply wood for the damaged wing of the Southern Cross arrived at Wellington yesterday by the Wanganella from Sydney, and were, sent up to Palmerston North by special car later in the day. The work of fitting the spare parts began immediately, and it is expected that the Southern Cross will be ready for a test flight, on Monday. Sir Charles Kingsford Smith is expected to leave Sydney by the Makura tomorrow, and will arrive at Wellington on Monday. .
