QUIET WEDDING
MR. MONTAGU NORMAN
CROWD BAFFLED
LONDON, 24th January. : Following the announcement of his engagement to Mrs. Priseilla "Worsthorne, aged 33, Mr. Montagu NormansGovernor of the Bank of England, who is 61 years of age, was married quietly. The-bride is an old friend of the Norman family, and divorced her husband in 1929. She is a London County Councillor. . An amusing sidelight on the wedding is a snapshot in all the illustrated papers, depleting him with his hands before his face to baffle photographers, while the bride smilingly faces the cameras. It was a "hush-hush", wedding, early in the morning, in the presence of six witnesses. Ordinary dress was ■worn, and there were no flowers.
