KING CARNIVAL REIGNS
Invited to attend in any costume they liked, the old. girla who gathered at the college on Saturday evening presented some weird and wonderf (li'sights. A number wore the frocks oftheir own school period, and others exercised their ingenuity and v appeared. ■in that belonged tt no known period at all. : . Old girls and the staff of the college were the only ones admitted to the building, but, once there, all restrictions were lifted, and an evening of real "school-girl" frivolities was enjoyed. No male escorts were permitted to enter the sacred precincts, but many were expected to be outside the gates at the end of the evening. A musical programme was interspersed with dancing and telling of reminiscences, those "contributing items being Miss' Ethna Greig, Mrs. Mai-tyn Williams, Miss Dorothy Newman, Miss Euth Eeid, Miss Dorothy Daniels, and Miss Tholma Bartholomew. Dance music was played by Misses W. Cooley, T. Maunder, and M. Tolan, Miss 0. Conlon playing the accompaniments. An hilariously funny burlesque of school life was arranged by Miss Marjorie Willcock's and was extremely successful. All sorts of modern and old-fashioned dances were included in the programme, and cards for the non-dancers were arranged in separate rooms. ,
