United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. WASHINGTON, 30th January. The visit of the British Ambassador, Sir Ronald Lindsay, to the United States' President-elect, Mr. F. D. Roosevelt, at Warm Springs, has saved considerable time, "whore time is an element of vital importance," as the Ambassador put it. Sir Ronald Lindsay Tevealed that the discussion covered every possible subject which might arise at the postinauguration conferences. Ho said he will report fully to the British Government Mr. Roosevelt's attitude on these matters-, so that "the British experts may arrive here prepared to "come to grips with the problems in a businesslike manner." He declined to comment on any opinions Mr. Roosevelt advanced.

Sir Ronald Lindsay said that while the length of his stay in London was uncertain, he. expects to return to Washington in advance of the British delegation.

Asked if Mr. Roosevelt had invited Mr. Ramsay - MaeDonald to head the delegation, Sir Ronald Lindsay replied that Britain would appoint her own delegates. . ■

The British Ambassador had a private talk with the Secretary of State, Mr. H. li. Stimson, on Monday night on war debts before departing for London on Tuesday. It.was his first contact with a representative of the Hoover Administration since his visit to Mr. Eoosevelt during the week-end.
