NEXT KENTUCKY DERBY

A purse of' 50,000 dollars added money will be attached to this year's' Kentucky Derby, which will be run on Saturday, 6th May, during nineteen days of racing at the Churchill Downs Spring Meeting from 29th April to 20th May.

The programme for the meeting is announced as the same as for last year, and all races will carry the same stakes. The Derby is, of course, the richest race in the world to win. The English Derby carries only £3000 added money, the final stake .for the winner (with sweepstakes) usually being between £10,000 and £12,000.
