HIGH COMMISSIONER
A MONTH'S HOLIDAY
(From "The Post's" Representative.) LONDON, 22nd December. The New Zealand Government ha 3 granted the High Commissioner one month's holiday leave as a sequel to the extension of his term of office by a further vcar.
Sir Thomas Wilford has had a particularly exacting three years in his official capacity, largely due to the unusual number of conferences on a variety of subjects, all of them technical and important. Further, attendances at Geneva have absorbed a considerable amount of time, have necessitated a great deal of work, and have called for much careful thought.
The High Commissioner for South Africa, Mr. te AVater, has been accorded four months' le^ye by the Union of South Africa on the completion of a three years' period of official duty here, and has gone out to visit his country, accompanied by Mrs. te Water.
Sir Thomas Wilford hopes to take his month's respite in March, and to spend it in the United Kingdom.
