Herr Hitler has formed a Cabinet, including— Dr. "Wilhelm Frick, Minister of the Interior; Baron vb"n Neurath, Foreign Affairs j General yon Blomberg, Defence; Count Schwerin yon Krosick, Finance; Br. Hugenberg (leader of the German People's Party), Commerce and Agriculture; Herr Franz Seldte (the -well-known "Steel Helmet" leader), Minister of Labour; Count Eltz yon Kuebenaeh, Transport;. Captain Goering, Minister without portfolio; also controls the Prussian police. Herr yon Papen, besides being "ViceChancellor, Jjecomes Reich.. Commissioner for Prussia.
The news of Hitler's 'Chancellorship spread like wildfire through, the- city, and groat crowds gathered outside the Chancellory. The police had,to clear a way for his carriage. One of Herr Hitler's first steps will be the suppression of the Communist Party.
General yon Sehleicher considers that Herr Hitler's appointment "was President Hindenburg's best escape from a perplexing situation. Herr Hitler '& spokesman says that he has taken the oath of allegiance to the Republican Constitution and will rule legally. ~ .'..;■
