A very satisfactory average of ISO guineas was .realised up to the luncheon adjournment at: the seventh national salo of thoroughbred yearlings, which was held at Trentham stables to-day by Wright, Stcphenson, and Co., Ltd., in conjunction with H. Chisholm and Co., Sydney, and Pyno, Gould, Guinness, Ltd., Chriatchurch. There was a large attendance at the ringside, and Australian interests were well represented and dominated the bidding for the better class of youngsters. Mr. G. Curries Limond yearlings were much in domand, the.average price realised 532 A guineas—655 guineas for the colts, all of whom were acquired by Australian buyers, and 328 guineas for the fillies. The highest price of tho morning was 1175 guineas, paid by Mr. J. T. Jamieson for a Lhnond—Homage colt. Pther good prices- were 650 guineas for a Limond—Mirabelle II colt, 725 guineas for a Limond—Jewel.of Asia colt, 400 guineas for a Chief Ruler—Cymene colt, 400 guineas for a Limond—Curtain colt; and 400 guineas for a" Limond—Veil filly. Mr. W. C. Douglas (Sydney) paid 325 guineas for a Limond—Rose Queen colt; ' ' v. ..= . . :■•.•_■ .
