Sir Hugo Hirst, chairman of the General Electric Company, states that, while apprehensively viewing any step increasing British manufacturers' difficulties, he agrees that New Zealand altered the exchange only after fully considering all the Government's interests. He realises that New Zealand will act in accordance with, the spirit of Ottawa.
