SUICIDE OF FURNACE

LONDON, 18th January. The "Daily Herald" says that during his illness, Samuel Furnace protested his innocence of murder, declaring that Spatchett was shot during a struggle in which he (Spatchett) was the aggressor after a quarrel about a woman.
The police are satisfied that Furnace had poison in the. lining of his overcoat. The Coroner's jury returned a verdict that Furnace committed suicide by taking poison.
