YEARLING PARADE
MUCH INTEREST SHOWN
Although several drafts of the yearlings for tile National sales, to be held at Trentham on Friday, do not arrive at headquarters until later in the week, a fine lot of youngsters were paraded at Wright, Stephensori, and Co., Ltd.'s stables yesterday afternoon. The day was perfect, and there was a very large attendance, including prominent New South Wales and Victorian visitors.■ ' • . ,
The arrangements for the parade were excellent, and, ■ judging by- the-interest shown, sales may be much better than anticipated.' Mr. Ken Austin occupied the rostrum,, and as the yearlings were paraded gave the.breeding, also' the racing performances of the ;sire, dam, and other close relatives of each individual, and cornmen); on quality and development of each ot the yearlings.
