PRAISE FOR GREENS
The Dominion croquet, tournament was continued, at Lower Hutt and Petone today in perfect'weather. The players are warm in praise of the greens, and the Borough Council authorities are determined to make the greens under their control second to none in the Dominion. Each morning Mr. Edwards is at work from 5 till 9 o'clock cutting, rolling, and marking. This is much appreciated by all the players. The- message boys of the Post and Telegraph Office .have begun wearing straw hats. These articles of apparel seem to be spreading in popularity and the boys are evidently conscious of their sartorial completeness, for they ar« worn at astonishingly rakish, angles.
