BRISK AT DUNEDIN

DUNEDIN, This Day.
A fairly thick drizzle set in last evening, ' fortunately after most of the Christmas shopping had been' done. Shopkeepers report very brisk business during the week. To-day is misty, but warm.
Concussion and bruises to the head were suffered by Albert Gardner, aged 14, of 9, Heath street, Lower Hutt, when he was knocked off a motor-cycle by a motor-car in Lower Cuba street at 8.50 a.m. to-day. He was taken to hospital by the City Ambulance.
Wines, spirits, and cigarettes sold a£ter dark in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia, are subject to a special tax for the benefit of the. unemployed.
