SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY
(To the Editor.)
Sir,—Some days ago an article appeared in your paper to the effect that, the Bishop of -Wellington -would; in future- control the work of the Sailors' Friend; Society (Missions to Seamen). While this statement is correct, we desire it to be known that for the present no alteration will be made in the working methods of the institute and church. A generous support has always been accorded to the work done for the seamen of the world by the; late James ,'Moore.' This support, we hope, will_ be continued, especially . over • the Christmas season. Any assistance in-money or kind .will be-greatly appreciated and duly*, acknovrfedged.-^On behalf ■of - society,: ■ -. .'-■'.■■•. , . . ''-■■■• S. GOOD, : ": ■-.'■■'.... Acting Secretary.
