A CHRISTMAS MESSAGE
A correspondent forwards the. following lines which appeared many years ago in an English parish magazine. The correspondent suggests that if the words "God's Own Counti-y" were substituted for "Merry England", in 1 the seventh line, the verse would be an appropriate Christmas message for New Zealand:— If each man in his measure Would do a brother's part; To shed a ray of sunshine Into another's heart, How changed would be our country How changed would be her poor, And -then "Merry England" Deserve her name, once more.
