KILLING AT WAINGAWA
WORK GOING SMOOTHLY
(By Telegraph.) (Special to "The EveriinQ Post.") MASTEETON, This Day.. Thirty-five butchers are still engaged at the Waingawa freezing works in the killing of sheep and lambs, and a further nine are dealing with pigs. All the butchers turned up ac usual yesterday morning, and.killing is proceeding smoothly. At present a total of 1500 sheep and lambs and 250 pigs are being killed daily.' It was noticed that no picketing was carried out yesterday in the vicinity of the works.
