The long series of earth tremora whicK have been disturbing Assam shows no sign of abatement, Dhubri, which appears to be the centre of the disturbance, continuing to register one daily/ while it is reported that a Tiill in the Gard range of Assam has become active, smoke issuing from the crest. Experts do not anticipate danger, believing that, although Assam is on. the volcanic chain, there is no cause for; alarm. '
