YANKEE TOURNAMENT

During the week-end tlie members of the Mount Ciuunel Tennis Club visited the St. Anthony's Catholic Tennis Club, Seatoun, to play a yankee toin-nament. In the course of the day many keen names were seen.

In the semi-finals Quinn and Miss Fullerton (Mount Carmel) beat A, Jones and Miss O'Leary (St. Anthony's), 21-15; W. Chaafo and Miss Duffy (St. Anthony's) beat Mi-. G. Jones and Miss E. Mansfield (St. Anthony's), 21-19. The final was hard-fought and was won by Qmnn and Miss Fullerton, who beat Chaafe arid Miss Duffy, 21-19. During the afternoon Monsignov Connolly, patron of St. Anthony's Club, was present, as was Mr. A. McCabe, the club president. Mr. O'Leary, on behalf of bt. Anthony's, thanked the Mount Carmel players for helping to make the' day such a success, and hoped it would not be long before another tournament would be held Mr King replied on behalf of Mount Carmel Club, and returned thanks tor a wonderful day. Among those present were Mrs. O'Leary Misses Avery, Fullerton, McLean, O'Donnell, Fletcher, McGrath, E. Mansfield, J. Rogers, N Alexander, G. Jones, L. Monahan, M. Molloy, E. Liardet, N.
