Devereux; representative o£ Australian woolgrowers' interests in London/ reports that the depreciation in sterl-ing-has stimulated Continental competition at1 the London wool sales. .All. countries are competing freely, and fi.orkshire is-now taking- a better' proportion of; the. offerings. Good combing scoureds are slightly dearer; inferior, and faultry greasy and scoured and all pieces are in lesser' demand at slightly lower prices. .Fine crossbreds are selling well at full October, closing rates. Medium and coarse descriptions show a 5 per cent, decline.; Very-little new business is passing in Germany, and the:fhtures markets; of Antwerpand Eoubaix are quiet. CURRENT VALUES. :.. The Bank of.
