' ."-■■■ ' AUCKLAND, This Day. The death is announced, at the ago of 72 yeaTs, of Mr. Charles Rhodes, on© of the best known businessmen in-Auck-land. He was a local director of the Waihi Gold Mining Company, and of many local companies. He was also a leading Botarian. •

■ Mr. Khodes was manager of the New Zealand Mines Trust, a director of the Waihi Gold Mining Co., and of the New Zealand. Insurance Co.: He was also a member of the Defence Expenditure .Commission, 1918, and a member of the council of Auckland University College.
