Reward of Courtesy
"In grateful remombrance of her kind companionship, " a London woman, employed by a firm of booksellers, has been left a sum of £5000 and £52 a year under the will of Mr. James Henry Crouch. She is Miss Alice Martha Ponder, who is senior assistant at a bookshop at Muswell Hill (states a correspondent). Miss Ponder stated that she had known Mr. Crouch since 1915. "Daily, sinco then," she explained, "he had come to the shop for his morning; paper.' He was a great book lover, and I often helped him. in his selection, of books from our lib rary.V Mr. Crouch left £.12,506, with net personalty £12,147.
