Compared with last week's quotations, best crossbred lamb and second quality lamb %d per lb higher; best wethers, under 641b, l-8d per lb higher; 64-721b, %d per lb higher. Ewes, under 481b, l-8d per lb higher. Prime ox beef, 3-8 d per lb higher; others unchanged. The market is firm but quiet." The Bank of New Zealand, Produce Department, has received the following advice from its London office as at close of business this week:—"The demand and prices for wether mutton are improving.
