BILLIARDS AND SNOOKER.
The first series of second round gamee in the City and Suburban Billiards and Snooker League were played last night. Keen interest ivas shown, and there were some very close finishes. Following ate the results:—Post and Telegraph 10 defeated Kilbirnie 6, Brooklyn 15 defeated Miramar 1, City 9 defeated Queens 7, Midland 9 defeated Alpha 7, National Chib 11 defeated Island Bay 5, Lyall Bay 10 defeated V.M.C.A. 6, Empire 8 drew with Victory 8.
Games in the second series of second round, to be played- next Thursday, are (home teams mentioned first):—Post and Telegraph v. Kilbiririe, Island Bay v. National Club, Midland v. Alpha, Miramar v. Brooklyn, Empire v. Victory, V.M.C.A. v. Lyall Bay, City v. Queens.
