NEW ISSUE NEXT MONTH

The announcement that New Zealand Government 5 per cent, debentures and inscribed stock, having currency to Ist September, 1937, will be. -withdrawn from sale on 6th November, and that a new 5 per cent, issue, having currency to loth .June, 1940, will be open for subscription on and after 7th November, 1932, was made by the Prime Minister (the Right Hon. G. W. Forbes) to-day. Mr. Forbes further mentioned that the provisions of part IV of the National Expenditure Adjustment Act, 1932, in relation to the stamp duty charge on interest do not apply in respect to securities issued on or after 10th May, 1932; consequently, interest on the new securities will not be subject to the stamp duty charge Tinder that Act. -
