MOTUEKA SEAT
LABOUR CANDIDATE
MR. P. C. WEBB CHOSEN
The National Executive of|the New Zealand Labour Party announces that Mr. P. C- Webb has been selected as the official Labour candidate; for the Motueka seat, rendered vacant, by the death of Mr. G. C. C. Black, i Mr. Webb was elected as member for Grey in 1913, and was re-elected at the 1914 General Election. Heresigned the seat in 1917, but was re-elected unopposed. Called up for military service in 1918, he declined to join the forces, and the Grey seat was declared vacant. Mr. Webb was deprived'of his civil rights for ten years. At present he is managing a coal business in Christchurch. '
