MR. J. R. REDSTONE
GISBOENE, This Day.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GISBOBNE, This' Day. The death lias occurred of 3£r. JohaE Eobert Redstone, at the age of 84?.. years. He was formerly the owner of! an extensive, coaching' service oper^ ating between Wairoa and East Cape*,. He settled in Gisborne 44 years ago andj developed a substantial, business beforeij motor competition drove the . coaches' off: the road. - "■_'.' MR. J. S. FAIRCHILD The death occurred to-day of. Mr* John Sanders Fairchild, in his sSth> year. The late Mr. Fairchild -was aj son of the late Captain John Fairehildj who for a long period had charge of the} 3Jew Zealand, Government steamers. For) some years he followed the sea. himself^ but later took up the profession oij dentist and practised as a dentist in; Wellington for over 30 years. He accompanied the Main : Body of thai N.Z.EJF. as a dental officer, ■ and to^ on Gallipoli. In .his earlier days. he} was •well known in rowing and-golfing circles. He is survived by a widow.
