ANGLING REGULATIONS
New regulations governing angling in the* Wellington district rivers gazetted are:—The closing of - the WaiKanae Kiver,from the junction of the Ngatiawa upwards to- all fishing; the reduction of the-limit number takeable in one day from twenty to fifteen trout; permission to'use weight-sinkers fo/ perchfishing'in • tbe" Tauherenikau Eiver up to the>bridge crossing the rj.ver on the Featherston'-Martinborough road, . and in the Buamahunga Eiver up to the bridge • crossing the river on the Kahaturu road, and also in the Wairarapa Lake and.lagoons is granted, elsewhere no sinker exceeding tlie weight of three 8.8. shot must be used. This year the Hautapu. Eiver, formerly in the Wanganui district, is in tte Wellington, acclimatisation- district. Southward from WaiouTu-artificial baita only may be used in- -it.- •'":'"'
